The Accessible Signed Library is edicated to making literature accessible to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Our Board is at least 50% Deaf and all of the members are fluent in ASL, and most of our contributors sign these works for free.

The Accessible Signed Library exists solely because of contributions and donations from individuals and donors, and these donations pay for licensing fees, taxes, website maintenance and will, in the future, hopefully enable us to offer small incentives to people willing to take on large projects like complete novels or plays.

The current fundraising goal is for the IRS filing fees and incorporation, and the donations are tax-deductible. Once that funding has been secured (through donations as well as grants), campaigns will be set up for specific literary works.

(Application for 501(c)3 status filed with the IRS, paperwork pending)
